With his poster projects, Lee Wybranski is seeking to make contributions to a rich tradition that dates back to the 19th Century. As with his painting, Lee looks to the great practioners of the past for his inspiration and seeks to bring time honored principles to contemporary subjects and audiences.

The hallmark of Lee's posters is a certain hand-done quality largely absent from most contemporary work in this genre. The result of this approach is a look that is both classic and bold. The artist also relishes the opportunities that the posters provide to be more creative and daring artistically.

Poster projects are generally commissioned for specific events, such as competitions or anniversaries. In 2008, Lee's studio created the official posters for all three U.S.G.A. Open Championships, including the epic at Torrey Pines won by Tiger Woods. He also created the third in an annual series for the Shell Houston Open.
